This bambuco has been arranged by juxtaposing the individual parts in different meters: primo in 6/8 and secondo in 3/4. This is a common practice among folk music performers, and a solution to address the question whether bambucos should be thought in 3/4 or 6/8. Interestingly, the resulting effect is a rich rhythmic structure that creates a dance between two parts. The melody can be presented as two-measure statements.
