The pasillo is a descendent of the European waltz that has become a symbol of national identity in both Colombia and Ecuador. One interesting feature common to pasillos is the variety of technical patterns featured in the melodic lines. This pasillo contains an example of key relationships by thirds. The first section is in G major, followed by a series of modulations and harmonic progressions that eventually make a full return to the main theme. The last section includes an incursion to f E flat major. Since this modulation is rather abrupt, a slower tempo is recommended.
パシージョはヨーロッパのワルツに由来し、コロンビアとエクアドルの国民音楽となっていま す。パシージョに共通する興味深い要素の一つは、メロディーラインに登場するさまざまなテク ニカルパターンです。このパシージョは、三度の転調を含みます。最初の部分はト長調で、その 後、和声進行による転調を繰り返し、再び主旋律に戻ります。最後の部分は、変ホ長調に移り ますが、この転調はかなり唐突なので、テンポを少し緩めるとよいでしょう。
