According to 19th-century Colombian novelist Jorge Isaacs (1837-1895), the bambuco is a creolized version of an African dance taken to Colombia by slaves, from the region of Bambouk, an area between Senegal and Mali. This bambuco features melodic lines similar to those of Spanish songs. The primo and secondo parts should be thought of as independent. The thinking to be adopted throughout should be of three counts per measure, with a slight accent on the first beat in the bass line.
19世紀のコロンビアの小説家ホルヘ・イサークス(1837-1895)によると、バンブ コは、おそらくセネガルとマリ西部の間の地域であるバンブクからの黒人奴隷に よって、コロンビアに持ち込まれたダンスが普及した事に始まります。コロンビア 風にアレンジされていく中で、バンブコはスペインの曲に似た旋律のラインを取り 入れながら、ヨーロッパのサロン音楽にはないリズムの複雑さを維持しています。
