This collection of 21 arrangements of dances from the Andean region of Colombia form part of a project to preserve repertoire produced during the 19th and 20th centuries. The arrangements highlight the complexities embedded in rhythms such as the Bambuco, Pasillo and Joropo.
The musical texts were adapted from the best available sources - fragments of manuscripts, LP and wax recordings, books on Colombian music and first editions of melodies printed in monthly publications.

Esta colección de 21 danzas de la región andina de Colombia forma parte de un proyecto para divulgar repertorio producido durante los siglos XIX y XX. Los arreglos y adaptaciones para piano a cuatro manos representan las complejidades que encierran ritmos como el Bambuco, el Pasillo y el Joropo. Los textos musicales fueron adaptados a partir de las mejores fuentes disponibles - fragmentos de manuscritos, grabaciones en cera, libros sobre música colombiana y primeras ediciones de melodías impresas en publicaciones mensuales durante la primera mitad del siglo XX.
